According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, “Ophiocordyceps sinensis” is a
fungus that naturally grows on ghost moths ( family Hepialidae ) and belongs to
the Cordyceps sinensis complex. Related species include Cordyceps militaris.
TCM Bio purified the CS-4 strain, scientifically known as Samsoniella hepiali ,
and cultured it into LivPhcD®.
LivPhcD® is the cordyceps mycelium of Samsoniella hepiali that is rich in
adenosine. Adenosine is a nucleoside which plays an important role in various
physiological processes, including energy metabolism and neurotransmission.
